Purpose & Principles

Purpose

I) D. K. Academy is dedicated to help prepare the ground for the future Northern and Central European Esoteric School, located in Sweden and described by the Master D. K. in the writings of Alice A. Bailey.

II) D. K. Academy is an appeal to dedicated esotericists in the Northern and Central European countries, as well as colleagues world wide, to recognize the need, support the vision and cooperate in furthering the manifestation of the North and Central European Esoteric School that will be situated in Sweden.

III) D. K. Academy is an impulse of Synthesis that embraces unity in diversity, appreciating the many valuable perspectives from which the Ageless Wisdom can be understood, and yet, at the same time clearly rooted in the Wisdom Teaching presented by the Trans-Himalayan branch of the One Fundamental School of Occultism in Shamballa, the teachings of Masters D. K., K. H.,  and M., particularly.

Principles

1. Sources
D. K. Academy is particularly rooted in the teachings of the Master Djwhal Khul (D.K.), who offered them under the inspiration of Master Koot-Hoomi (K.H.) – teachings expressed through the writings of Helena Petrovna Blavatsky (H.P.B) and Alice Ann Bailey (A.A.B.) – The D.K. Academy also stands in deep appreciation of the Agni Yoga teaching given by Master Morya (M.) as well as other important contributions.

2. Teaching
D. K. Academy is dedicated to the unfoldment of a many-coloured spectrum of Wisdom Teaching, based on Cooperative Creativity and holds the Oneness of Humanity as its constant vision.

3. Specialization
D. K. Academy is a specialized initiative and, by its very nature, a pioneering project for the future, attempting to advance esoteric education in many areas, and all based on the Ageless Wisdom.

4. Balance
D. K. Academy follows the Venusian way of blending heart and mind on the mental plane through meditation, study and service, and its activities are intended to inspire mentally polarised people who wish to serve humanity.

5. Discrimination
D. K. Academy focuses on integrity and authenticity in the teaching, based on experience, a cultivation of the “esoteric sense” and a life of service –  not on claims of position, postulated mission or supposed spiritual ‘contacts’. Participants in D. K. Academy affirm the Soul as their highest authority.

6. Discipleship
D. K. Academy teaches the rules for the new discipleship and both modern and ancient methods of treading the Spiritual Path to be found in the Trans-Himalayan Teaching.

7. Implementation
D. K. Academy works for the Birth of a New Age, especially in recognizing the need for the manifestation of the ten seed groups, the Externalization of the Hierarchy, and the Reappearance of the Christ, the World Teacher for the Aquarian Age.

Supplementing the Purpose & Principles

LANGUAGE
The teaching presented through D. K. Academy will usually be offered in English. This will promote international cooperation with D. K. Academy’s purposes and programs. Though the website, group planning and all D. K. Academy activities will be presented mainly in English, local translations are always welcomed, as long as it is understood that English is the common ground for the Initiative.

ACTIVITIES
The activities will grow out of the cooperation and develop in ways that cannot be foreseen in all details, but these three areas are already to be seen:
1) Internet website – (www.dkacademy.org)
2) Joint ventures between cooperative partners, local projects.
3) Yearly summer schools in Scandinavia, inviting teachers from the world esoteric community.

STAFF
A volunteering staff is needed to make the vision a solid reality. A variety of skills and dedicated workers are a necessity if the need is to manifest and find an outer expression. People are needed in the following areas: A) Computer Graphics, B) Webmaster, C) PR-Marketing, D) Funding, E) Logistics for physical meetings, F) Registration. G) Coordinators for physical gatherings, H) and supporters in general.

CURRICULUM
To be developed, combining the existing resources of teachers with the guidelines given by Master D. K. in “Letters of Occult Meditation”.

AUTHORITY AND CLAIMS
The world is full of well meaning, but also pretentious and ambitious claims concerning spiritual authority, status and position, guidance and channellings of many different kinds. While some of these sources may be of partial or temporary assistance as an awakening factor regarding the non-physical realities, many of them degrade spiritual principles and, because of their glamorous nature, mislead aspirants and interested students, deflecting them away from work with the deeper teachings that do not comfort the personality or appeal personally to the individual, but which relate solely to wholeness, oneness, synthesis and  the Will-toGood. This means that D.K. Academy  does not focus on or work with claims of spiritual authority and channellings that compromise the teaching of the Master D. K. To support this orientation we have prepared an appendix with quotations of importance that must be considered with care, if true discipleship is to be pursued in a sound and discriminative  manner. (See: Quotes of Importance)

PRIMARY AND SECONDARY SOURCES
While recognizing that there are many different expressions of esoteric wisdom available worldwide, DKA’s approach derives primarily from the teachings of the Tibetan Master Djwhal Khul. Master D.K.’s comprehensive teachings are broad and inclusive. Therefore, students of esotericism with roots in Theosophy, Rosicrucianism, the Sufi tradition, Agni Yoga, Nature of the Soul and other related expressions of the Wisdom Tradition are all welcome. D.K. Academy activities can and will, therefore, include related sources and will seek a new synthesis, at the same time following the guiding spiritual principles found within the works of Alice A. Bailey.

ESOTERIC TEACHINGS AND SCHOOLS
Many ways to teach esotericism exist today, and the spectrum starts from very generalized introductions of a holistic, spiritual nature, and continues over classic esoteric teaching to the highly specialized approaches made by esotericists in selected fields. All facets of the spectrum have their place in the One Work. D.K. Academy does not sponor a general approach. There exists a need for deeper, specialized, synthesising esoteric work with meditation, study and service as the core triangle. Initiatives for the future esoteric schools cannot be general in their approach. Centered within their guiding values and purposes, they must dare to penetrate into unknown territory. At the same time they must navigate with balance to avoid any tendencies towards ego-dominated elitism and any sense of being the specially selected and unique messengers of new revelations. A sound sense of proportion, natural humility and common sense must go hand in hand with visionary courage, a willingness to evolve the teaching, and a conscious awareness of the ultimate practicality of the esoteric teaching. D.K. Academy is an initiative designed to prepare the ground for the manifestation of the future Swedish School. Therefore its service is specialized.

WORLD SERVICE
A vital linking between many esotericists worldwide can help further the spiritual renaissance that is needed to give birth to a new Planetary Era based on goodwill, understanding, justice, sharing, responsibility, creativity and right human relations. Disciples and World Servers need to be more aware of each other’s contributions and to connect in new and inventive ways so that inspiration, joint efforts and practical applications of the esoteric wisdom can offer alternatives to the gross materialism and fundamentalism that seem to constitute the primary aspects of the planetary “Dweller on the Threshold” at this time. Light, Love and Power are needed to Restore the Plan on Earth – and we are all called to firm, intelligent and compassionate action. It remains the guiding star and vision of D.K.Academy to uphold this universal focus, and, at the same time to implement its specific task, practically and effectively
